Whether you are new to therapy or are continuing that journey, choosing the people who will support you on that path is an honoring experience. In order to get the most out of therapy, it's important that you find someone who creates a space that feels safe for you to explore and take emotional risks. My primary goal as your therapist is to create that space for you.
There are many approaches to therapy. Mine is one that integrates multiple ways of communicating - through talking, play, movement, art - in order to meet you exactly where you're at and move us towards your goals. Everyone has a different way that they access their thoughts and emotions, and trauma will often interrupt these pathways, making it necessary to use creative ways to get to the heart of what we are feeling. I will spend our first sessions establishing that shared understanding of how you feel and think so that we can build trust that we will need in order to move towards growth.
I work with ages 6-100+ and specialize in working with neurodivergent youth and young adults, as well as with caregivers, teachers, and other helping professionals.
Focus areas: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Attachment challenges, Identity Questions, LGBTQ+, Neurodivergence, Life Transitions, Burnout, Compassion Fatigue.
I primarily work via telehealth. Limited availability for in-person sessions for children, adolescents, and neurodivergent folx in Thurston County.
I do not accept insurance at this time. I can provide superbills so that you are able to seek reimbursement from your insurance provider.
